Although this building, in 1950 had an estimated value of
$65,000, the cost to the congregation was $15,000.
It was first used for a State Music and Ushers
Convention in February 1954. This hall continues to be
used for recreational and social functions of the church.

Rev. George Bush came to be our pastor in 1953. He continued the spiritual building of
the congregation for six years, he was succeeded in 1959 by Rev. Herbert Bunyan who
served as pastor until 1967.
In 1967 Rev. Hubert Johnston
accepted the call to become
our pastor.

In 1973 plans were started to enlarge the present church
structure. Classrooms, restrooms and a chapel were added to
the existing church building. Raymond Schaub was chairman
of the Building Committee. Mr. R.L. Grandy was the
contractor and was aided by many laymen of the church.

Construction of New Addition to the Church
On August 25th, 1974 the new
addition was dedicated. Rev.
Johnston remained as our
dedicated pastor until 1980.
Rev. William Pentecost, our
present pastor came to us in
1980. The church continued to
grow under his leadership.
The debt on our new addition was paid
off and the Mortgage Burning Service
was held September 13, 1981.
